Naomi Fallon (they/them) is a multimedia artist and musician based in Boston, Massachusetts. Using primarily lens-based approaches, their work bridges the disciplines of photography, performance, stop-motion and live action filmmaking. Fallon’s work has been published in several student-run magazines and has received recognition from the New York Times. They are currently working toward a BFA in Media Arts at Northeastern University while performing with their sister in the band Lucky Gold Jr.

They have been particularly influenced by the work of Erwin Wurm and Ana Mendieta, looking to emulate their mastery of performance and documentation. Fallon’s work aims to depict stories from their own life that resonate with the experiences of fellow young queer artists. Snapshots are examined through their performances of nostalgia, friendship, and a fleeting childhood, while also seeking to interrogate societal norms surrounding gender expression and experimentation. These ideas weave themselves into a framework that can be traced across Fallon’s work, a throughline of growing up, growing into yourself, or growing out of an old self—a self that no longer fits.
